Growing up in San Antonio during the 60s and 70s immersed me into a great heritage and culture. As a United States Marine, I was stationed in California, Hawaii, and Cuba. Only then did I begin to realize how big, diverse and wonderful the world really is. The natural beauty of California, the breath-taking sights of Hawaii and Cuba have help me appreciate how amazing the history and culture of the city I have called home for decades. It is the colors, history, and culture of my life experience that I infuse to my art. I truly enjoy studying the works of other artist, both the greats and contemporary, and such adds to what inspires me to create.

I have spent countless hours in my art. And I don’t just include the time on the canvas with my paints, or cleaning my brushes, but even as I look for the inspiration for my next project. It really is very satisfying to finish a painting and then allow others to see and experience my journey. I never imagined in my younger years that one day my artistic endeavors could be digitally archived and put on display for any one in the world to see.
